► February 26th, Ash Wednesday, marks the beginning of the holy season of Lent. We are invited to fast, each according to their ability and health conditions. The celebration of the sacred ashes, here in the Cathedral, at 6:30 pm. The multilingual celebration will be presided over by the Archbishop.
► Before the Ash Wednesday Mass from 17:30 to 18:30 Diocesan Priests will be available for Sacrament of Confession to those who would like to join.
► On Ash Wednesday, Fasting rule obliges not to eat more than one meal. Lent requires no meat and is applied every Friday. (The code of Canon Law no: 1430-1439)
► At the entrance, there is a box for offerings with the inscription “Caritas.” During the season of Lent we can put in that box the fruits of our renunciations, to help the poor assisted by the diocesan Caritas.
► Every Friday during Lent starting 28 February, there will be Stations of the Cross here in the Cathedral at 6:15 pm, after the celebration of the Holy Mass. You are invited to participate.
